Capitol Cup Rules

  • Every individual that enters our events must sign a release of liability. If you do not sign a release form, you are trespassing.
  • Capitol Motocross Cup is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or property damage. Attend our events at your own risk.
  • Riders must wear all required safety equipment.
  • Wheelies or reckless driving are grounds for immediate expulsion.
  • No spectators on the racetrack.
  • Pets must be on a leash.
  • No fireworks.
  • Violation of any of these rules can lead to expulsion.​

2024 Banquet FAQ's

  • Our banquet gives back to the riders in BIG WAYS.  Capitol Motocross Cup gives away thousands and thousands of dollars of merch, gear, swag, parts, and much more at the banquet.  The banquet is held at Budds Creek Motocross Park and includes a ride day, dinner, and awards ceremony.
  • Riders must race 6 out of 10 races to be eligible for the banquet.
  • Riders must be Capitol Motocross Cup members to qualify for the banquet.
  • 1 drop race will be given for the 2024 season.
  • 50cc riders who placed 1st – 10th in end of year points will be eligible for trophies.
  • 65cc+ riders who placed 1st – 5th in end of year points will be eligible for trophies.
  • More information to come later in the 2024 season.
  • Please note that we do offer injury exceptions for riders that showed commitment to the series before their injury, but were unable to meet the 6/10 requirement due to injury.  Injury exceptions are approved on a case by case basis.  Please reach out to us via Facebook or Instagram to request injury exception.

  • Capitol Cup follows the AMA Rulebook for class rules and machine requirements
  • 50cc Classes:
    • Capitol Cup 50cc 4-6 Half Track is AMA Micro Jr Limited
    • Capitol Cup 50cc 7-8 Full Track is AMA Micro Sr Limited
    • Capitol Cup 50cc Shaft Drive Half Track is AMA Micro Shaft Drive
    • Capitol Cup 50cc Open 4-8 Full Track only has the limitation of NO E-Bikes and 12″ max wheel size
    • Capitol Cup 50cc E-Bike 4-8 Half Track follows machine requirements for AMA Mini-E Sr Limited but with a 4-8 age range
